Bert Leemans is a policy officer in the unit ‘Marine Environment and Clean Water Services’ in DG Environment of the European Commission. He coordinates the implementation of the recast Drinking Water Directive and deals with all topics related to drinking water quality and access to clean water within DG Environment.
Head of Section – Zoonotic, Food- and Waterborne Infections in the Norwegian Institute of Public Health. Responsible for drinking water and health. Susanne specialized in drinking water and public health: Prevention, detection and response to waterborne outbreaks. Experience in consulting municipality, humanitarian fieldwork and aid related to drinking water.
Olof Bergstedt is drinking water specialist at Sustainable Waste and Water, City of Gothenburg (“Göteborg Kretslopp och Vatten”), a member of the (Swedish) National Water Disaster Group (“VAKA”), and Adjunct Professor at the Chalmers University of Technology. Olof received the Pump handle Award in 2008, from the John Snow Society Scandinavia, where he was praised for his research contributions to safer drinking water.
